7) Institute of Museum and Library Services National Leadership Grants

Deadline: March 1, 2007

National Leadership Grants enable libraries and museums to help people gain

the knowledge, skills, attitudes, behaviors, and resources that enhance
their engagement in community, work, family, and society. Projects should
enable libraries and museums to address current problems in creative ways,

develop and test innovative solutions, and expand the boundaries within
which cultural heritage institutions operate. Successful proposals will show
evidence that they will have national impact and generate results-new tools,

research, models, services, practices, or alliances-that can be widely
adapted or replicated to extend the benefit of federal support. Projects
will provide creative solutions to issues of national importance and provide

leadership for other organizations.

8) CTCNet: C4All Accessibility Grants

Deadline: March 2007, RFP to open February 2007

CTCNet's new Connections for All (C4All) program offers a variety of
opportunities for community technology centers (CTCs) to enhance your

capacity to serve people with a broad range of abilities.  Following a
competitive grant application process in early spring 2007, CTCNet will
award 14 organizations with $20,000 Accessibility Grants.  Funding can be

used to address issues in the areas of assistive technology, staff training
and development, community outreach, program enhancement, and facilities
improvements.  Also included is 30 hours of technical assistance from the

Alliance for Technology Access (ATA).   To be eligible, you must attend a
C4All Accessibility Institute.  These trainings are a valuable way to learn
how to assess, plan for, and implement strategies to make your CTC more

accessible, and they are an important step in preparing for the grant
application process.  For information on upcoming Accessibility Institutes,

humanities-based media that will be used for community screenings and wider
distribution.  CCH will grant up to $30,000 per project. Each grant request
