[CTCVISTA] CTC VISTA UPDATES: R2D2 Where are you?

Happy New Year CTC VISTA kin! Hope everyone survived fruit cake and eggnog overload.

Here's some updates from the ol' Project HQ:

• New crew of CTC VISTAs starting January!:
  Over twenty new CTC VISTAs will be swarming the UMass Boston campus next week (Jan 17-19th) for their pre-service orientation from all over the country.  Presentations will include new media copyright by UMB Community, Media, & Technology professor Reebee Garafalo, Boston community wireless projects by VISTAs Emilio Flores and Patrick Otton,  "The Three Cs:  Contacts, Communication, Cash" by UMass Lowell professor Felicia Sullivan, and a hands-on podcasting workshop with Nettrice Gaskins.  Keep your eyes peeled for session notes and new VISTA blogs.
• Introducing our first GUEST BLOGGER, Morgan Sully!:  In order to spice up the CTC VISTA blogs a bit, we've enlisted the help of some exciting alumni VISTAs to blog for a month on the site about the work they're doing post VISTA and their advice on surviving VISTA life.  Morgan Sully was a VISTA last year at  The San Diego Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender Community Center in San Diego and now he's continuing to work with digital media and storytelling projects.  Watch for weekly entries on the
  VISTA Blogs page starting soon.
• Coming soon - the new CTC VISTA wiki! - Interested in sharing your lessons learned, best resources and developed curriculum, materials, and rules/procedures with your fellow CTC VISTAs?  This will be the place!  Let Danielle (or any of the VISTA Leaders) know if you're interested in helping out with the first phase of the project.
