8 - 10 Months

During the 8th, 9th, and 10th months of DASCorps service VISTAs will start to utilize their newly found "norms of trust," and can begin focusing on the service to be done; there should be enough drive, creativity, and cohesiveness to take on most tasks.
Some typical VISTA behaviors and attitudes:
- Cohesiveness
- Teamwork
- Leadership
- Performance
Some general tips for VISTAs during this time:
- Involve yourself and others
- Be a positive force
- Read about the subject or population with whom you are working
- Be professional
- Continue thinking about what you will do after your service year
